Successful Financial Solutions, Inc., recently announced that Patrick L. Doland has joined the Northbrook-based financial planning firm as a principal. Doland had previously been serving as senior vice president and head of cash management at the ten-branch Oak Brook Bank.
Doland, a Northbrook resident, has also been active in the United Way system having served as past president of the United Way of Northfield and as a past board member of the United Way of Suburban Chicago. Since 1991 he has also served on the board of directors of the United Way Crusade of Mercy. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Upper Iowa University and master’s in management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
“Financial planning is a natural evolution for me after spending over 25 years in the banking industry,” Doland said. “I thought it was important to avoid selling commission products because of the perception of bias. I decided to join Successful Financial solutions because of its reputation on the North Shore as the premier ‘fee-onlyâ’ financial planning and investment advisory firm.”
Successful Financial Solutions, founded in 1996 by partners Sidney A. Blum and Richard E. Chiozzi, is a “fee only” financial planning firm committed to guiding its clients through important tax and investment decisions. As a fee only firm, the company does not sell any financial products, investments or insurance.
