Debra D. Feldman, MSW, LCSW,CMC with Debra D. Feldman & Associates in Buffalo Grove will be the guest this month on the cable access show Financial Solutions that airs in numerous northern Cook County and southern Lake County communities in Illinois. For the past 14 years Feldman has served as a private geriatric care manager, serving the elderly and their families. She works with seniors and their families in providing evaluation assessments, family consultations, assistance with identifying caregivers, identifying an appropriate retirement community or health care facility and assisting with relocation.
Feldman is a licensed and insured clinical social worker. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. She also earned a Certification as a Care Manager through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
All of us have seen an elderly neighbor, friend or family member facing the challenges associated with aging. Usually they handle these situations well, yet sometimes it’s necessary to have someone to assist. Feldman will explain the need for geriatric care managers and the role they play seniors.
The show will air on Comcast cable once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday’s for the entire month of April. The program reaches 105,000 subscribers on channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood and Wheeling. The show will also be broadcast on Channel 19 at the same time to 120,000 subscribers in Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Wilmette.
