Northbrook Financial Advisor Returns from NAPFA Reno Conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 1, 2003

Patrick Doland recently returned from the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors National Conference in Reno, Nevada on April 23 – 27. The conference title, Improving the Odds of Success brought together many of the nation’s fee only planners to hear from well known experts addressing topics including portfolio construction, hedge funds, separate accounts, estate planning, long term care insurance, and philanthropic planning.

Of particular interest was a session featuring three well know authors who took their heads out of the books long enough to address attendees on real world planning considerations.

Doland, a Northbrook resident, received a bachelor of arts degree from Upper Iowa University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.  He CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ Practitioner and a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor. Doland provides fee only services in areas including investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, risk management, income tax planning and education planning.

NAPFA, founded in 1983, is the largest professional organization representing comprehensive fee only financial advisors. NAFPA members are prohibited from receiving compensation other than client fees and are, therefore, not compensated by the sale of products they recommend.
