Patrick Doland recently returned from the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors National Conference in Memphis, Tennessee held from May 14 – 17. The conference Redefining Planning for Clients, addressed many of the current issues facing investors such as IRA distributions, stock options, alternative investments, generation skipping trusts, asset protection trusts and international investments.
A highlight of the conference was Harold I. Apolinsky, author of Tax Planning for Professionals. Apolinsky, an expert in the Federal income tax, discussed the future taxation of America. Listed in The Best Lawyers in America, he has served for the past five years as vice president, legislation for the Small Business Council of America and is past president of the American College of Tax Counsel.
Doland, a Northbrook resident, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Upper Iowa University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He recently completed The CFP Professional Education program through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
