Treasures in Your Home: Are They Fake or Real?

William R. Milne, a 30 year veteran of the auction industry, will be the guest this month on the cable access show Financial Solutions that airs in numerous northern Cook County and southern Lake County communities in Illinois. The topic of this month’s program is Treasurers in Your Home: Fake or Real?

Milne performs well over 150 estate appraisals annually for leading Chicago individuals and institutions and has conducted over 1,000 auctions with sale totals in excess of $100 million... He began his career after completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Shimer College and finishing all of the course work for a Master’s Degree in biochemistry at Loyola University in Chicago. From there, Milne proceeded to graduate with distinction from the Gemological Institute of America. He also took the New York University appraisal science courses on antique gem and jewelry appraising.

During the program, Milne will display an assortment of jewelry and other items as he gradually explains to the viewing audience what distinguishes the real item from the fake.

The show will air on Comcast cable once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday’s for the entire month of April. The program reaches 105,000 subscribers on channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood and Wheeling. The show will also be broadcast on Channel 19 at the same time to 120,000 subscribers in Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Wilmette.
