Barrington Attorney to Address Estate Planning Issues

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 14, 1999

Donna Cunningham, an estate planning attorney in Barrington, will be the guest this month on the cable access show Financial Solutions that airs in numerous northern Cook County and southern Lake County communities in Illinois. The topic of this month’s program is Estate Planning.

The value of estate planning as a means of passing along property at death is obvious, but few recognize that planning can have sufficient benefits during ones lifetime including planning for contingencies such as disability or care of minor children. Cunningham will share her expertise in the areas of wills, trusts and powers of attorney. Her presentation will include strategies on how to reduce estate taxes through the use of Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts or ILITS. She will also discuss why you should avoid probate and how to do so.

Cunningham is a frequent speaker and author on estate planning and business law and has been published by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. She is also a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.

The show will air on TCI of Illinois cable once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday’s for the entire month of August. The program reaches 105,000 subscribers on channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood and Wheeling. The show will also be broadcast on Channel 19 at the same time to 120,000 subscribers in Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Wilmette.

Financial Solutions is produced by Patrick Doland, CFP™, a fee only financial planner and investment manager in Northbrook and is intended to help viewers address their questions on investments, retirement planning, education planning, insurance, and estate planning.
