FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 14, 2000
Brooke R. Whitted, a partner in the law firm of Foran and Schultz, will be the guest this month on the cable access show Financial Solutions that airs in numerous northern Cook County and southern Lake County communities in Illinois. The topic of this month’s show will be The Legal and Financial Issues Relating to Disabled Children.
For the past 20 years Whitted has focused his efforts in the areas of child welfare, special education, mental health, disability and confidentiality law. Many of his cases have defined Illinois law with regard to residency, psychotherapy as a related service, residential placement, retroactive reimbursement, parents’ rights and a host of other issues.
Whitted’s concern for children has been a continuous and unifying theme in his career. Before becoming an attorney, Whitted was a probation officer with the Cook County Juvenile Court. Despite his busy career, Whitted has found time to serve as the current President of the Board of Directors of the University of Chicago / Sonia Shankman Orthogenic School. He is also the President of the Board of the Harold E. Marx Memorial Fund that serves the needs of the children of Cook County’s Juvenile Court.
The show will air on AT&T Cable once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday’s for the entire month of July. The program reaches 105,000 subscribers on channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt.
