Murray A. Gordon, president of MAGA Ltd in Deerfield, will be the guest this month on the cable access show Financial Solutions that airs in numerous northern Cook County and southern Lake County communities in Illinois. The topic of this month’s program is Long Term Care Insurance.
Gordon founded MAGA in 1975, recognizing the need for LTC insurance as protection against spiraling nursing home and home care costs. Overall, he has had 36 years of professional insurance experience including 12 years as a home office executive with two major insurance companies.
As a visionary in the long term care insurance field, Gordon was instrumental in initiating group discounts for LTC plans as well as the “waiver of premium” feature, a vital benefit today in all LTC policies. He has been a featured speaker at many national conferences and has been quoted in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Magazine, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business and many more.
The show will air on TCI of Illinois cable once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday’s for the entire month of September. The program reaches 105,000 subscribers on channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood and Wheeling. The show will also be broadcast on Channel 19 at the same time to 120,000 subscribers in Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Wilmette.
